It’s been over two years now since I had the
laser hair
removal done on my legs. I think that’s more than
long enough for me to decide if the laser hair removal
treatment was a success, and if it was worthwhile. There
are various factors to consider in coming to a
conclusion.
First of all, is the expense involved with
laser hair
removal. We’re talking of hundreds of dollars per
laser hair
removal treatment and four treatments in all. That’s
well over $ 1200. That’s expensive when compared to the
cost of waxing, hair removal creams and all the other
options where the cost each time would have been in the
tens of dollars. But the key factor here is each time.
How many times would I have done it over the last two
years and what would have been my overall
cost? Quite
a bit, but probably not as much as I spent on the
laser hair
removal and the follow up treatments I have done
every year.
Yes, I do have laser hair removal
follow up treatments done, because no matter what is
said; laser hair
removal is not 100% permanent. Some hair always grows
back and laser
hair removal follow up treatments are required. The
amount of remaining hair decreases with each laser hair removal
treatment, so there will come a time when even laser hair removal
follow up treatments may not be
needed.
But even with the extra cost, the laser hair removal has
been worth it. I have been saved of the pain of having to
wax my legs every few weeks. I also saved a lot of time
with the laser
hair removal treatment. A lot of people have asked me
if, even with these benefits, if the laser hair removal
procedure was worth the extra expense. My answer to them
is yes, the laser
hair removal treatment was worth it. Besides anything
else, the comfort and confidence I have, in not having to
continually worry about excess hair on my legs is a
blessing. Laser
hair removal has made life easier for
me.
After getting the laser hair removal done
on my legs, I went on to have it done on some other parts
of my body and the success has been as good. The laser hair removal
treatments were all as quick and painless as the one done
to my legs and the results have been as successful. While
there is need for the occasional maintenance treatment
done after fairly long intervals, by and large I can
forget about unwanted body hair.
How long the gap will be between maintenance
treatments and how much hair will remain, varies from
person to person. But removal of up to 90% of the
existing hair during the initial laser hair removal
treatment is not uncommon.
In the final analysis, the reason for and
the necessity of laser hair removal depends
on the person involved. The older methods like shaving and
waxing are fairly quick and easy to do, although often
painful. The cost, although it reoccurs regularly and
continuously is not all that much. And it’s something you
can do yourself in the privacy of your home unlike laser hair
removal.
But laser
hair removal offers you a long term solution to your
problems with the minimum discomfort, and the maximum
long term lasting results.
